Energy efficiency in buildings with ABB i-bus KNX

Climate change and growing shortages of resources are the big challenges of our time. Efficient and sustainable energy usage is therefore an urgent necessity. Scientific studies and measured values in practice show a high energy saving potential when bus technology is used in room and building automation. The ABB i-bus KNX intelligent building control system provides its customers with a broad range of options for optimum energy efficiency. On the basis of the KNX standard, energy in the double-figure % range can be saved.

Control of all room functions – The Room Controller RC/A 4.2

The new Room Controller RC/A 4.2 with its optimized and compact design can integrate up to 4 individual plug-in modules which control all relevant functions in a room. The Room Controller communicates as one bus device via the KNX network and enables a fast installation with a flexible commissioning. To cover all room functions a complete range of modules are available and can be used in all Room Controller Solutions from ABB i-bus KNX.

Pre-programmed and “all inclusive“- The Room Master, Premium, RM/S 2.1

The ABB Room Master is a single device that automates all the climate control, lighting and shading requirements of rooms in hotels, care home or hospitals. It also switches socket outlets and executes further functions which have an impact on comfort, safety and security. Therefore it is the interaction between the functions that creates new opportunities and offers a real benefits for both guests and operators.
The new Room Master solution comes with a pre-configured application program allowing basic functionality ‘out of the box’ and without programming.
